I did a thing (BURB Devlog 0)


I was working on this for like 2 weeks, and only thought to use itch.io now. So anyway, some things about the project:

  • The title is a work-in-progress
  • It is my first attempt at 2D Unity
  • It is my first project using multiple scenes

I am intending to make the game a kind of "challenge platformer." Essentially, you must reach the end platform while doing something or after doing something. Beat the giant, don't lose a bodypart, those kinds of things.

Mechanics I have implemented (process covered in devlog 1):

  • Movement (left, right, jump, slide)
  • Animations
  • Telekinesis
  • Knife (recall, damage enemies)
  • Bodypart decay
  • Main menu (buttons, enemies)
  • Sandbox mode (spawn enemies)
  • Timefreeze
